Best Brunches in Austin

Best Brunch Spots in Austin TX | coupleinthekitchen.com.png

Our usual go-to breakfast is hitting up a breakfast taco stand after a workout (probably counter-intuitive, but oh well!). When it comes time to take family and friends to a sit-down brunch, sometimes we draw a blank, initially, since we don’t formally brunch as often.

As we don’t brunch a ton, it was the perfect time to crowdsource a master list of recommendations. We posted on Instagram and Facebook, asking y’all to log on to the Oros app to answer our question of “What’s the best brunch spot in Austin”?  Oros helps to easily organize all the answers to questions you ask the community, where anyone can chime in with their expertise. Seriously, you can ask for help regarding anything, and the response times with useful advice has been fantastic, we’ve talked about the app at its release here.  This app has also really helped us with our latest trip planning. We narrowed down neighborhoods to stay in London and for some insight on staying in Morocco.  For Morocco, we were planning on only spending only one night in the desert, but we decided on two nights because of the app and it’s been one of the best decisions of our trip.

Here are some of our favorite places for brunch in Austin:

Bangers - Come for the food, stay for the party! Enjoy creative sausages, almost 100 beers on tap and the world-famous MANMOSA! That’s an entire bottle of bubbly, mixed with OJ, served in a massive beer stein... all for only $10! The live music and large patio draws in a large crowd so get their early and expect a long wait. bangersaustin.com 79 Rainey St, Austin, TX 78701

Sway - We love Thai food (especially after spending two weeks in Thailand) and our favorite spot in town is now serving up brunch. Sway's dishes pack a lot of herbs and flavor. We love their spicy, tiger cry beef with soft scrambled eggs as well as the green curry sweet potato hash! Brunch is available on Saturday and Sundays at both locations.  https://swaythai.com/ Multiple Locations.

Kerbey Lane - Casual and kid-friendly, we love their Eggs Francisco. How can you go wrong with eggs covered in handmade queso?! There is usually a long wait, so register your spot in line before you arrive with the NoWait app. https://kerbeylanecafe.com Multiple locations
